Au'relia was sold into slavery by her parents at a young age. Raised by the Ishgardian Holy See, she soon learned that not every pious clergy man is without sin. Trained from in early age in the arts of dancing and divination, she, and her friend Lemon, would be sent to the Brume to tantalize the poor souls to part with their already sparse coin in exchange for a little attention or a little extra hope for the future.
As interest in her divination abilities began to grow, the Holy See partnered with the Syndicate out of Ul'dah to experiment on her. Using the arcane practices of the local thaumaturges, they fused her mind against her will with an otherworldly entity known to her only as the Voice. Now, her divination abilities are dependent on communing with the Voice. The process takes a significant toll and leaves her drained and vulnerable. Only those with bad intentions would ask for a reading with ulterior motives.
